Surbiton Day Nursery & Pre-School

23 Upper Brighton Rd, Surbiton KT6 6QX, UK – 020 8390 7744

Lovely staff, nice location and building with large garden. Excellent opening hours. However it is extremely poor value for money. They ask 30-40% premium compared to nearby nurseries which have better ofsted reports. Nor do they provide workplace nursery benefit which could benefit the parents a lot. Bright Horizon, the new owner of the nursery is an American company owning more than 700 nurseries worldwide and you can tell; it has become a lot more corporate and money focused.

Secondary Schools

Coombe Girls' School

Clarence Ave, New Malden KT3 3TU, UK – 020 8942 1242

That school is really amazing there is very helpful teachers I got a really good grades in my exams it was also fun because they had really fun clubs and I learnt really well stuf about my future and I'm so confident now I use to be really scared you will make a lot of friends there you should go there

I went to Coombe Girls’ back in 80s and it seems to have changed so much from then. It was a good school with a hockey field, a tennis/basket court and a grass field plus indoor gym. Now all the wonderful part of school is sold/turned into something else which is quite sad.

Turing House School

2 Queen's Rd, Teddington TW11 0LR, UK – 020 8069 6100

Honestly, they have good teachers and everything but girls tend to feel self conscious about their face and everything and their hair usually helps them feel better and things like that. I understand it’s meant to be tied up so it “looks” smart but that’s nonsense! Just let them have their hair up or down and how ever they like for gods sake! Their children let them have their hair how they like!!!

this school is good. But if your student is low achieving but likes school trips this school isn't for him. Normally only the top sets go on trips and i would like to see a change. Peace Out Broskis!!

Educare Small School (Kindergarten preschool & school)

12 Cowleaze Rd, Kingston upon Thames KT2 6DZ, UK – 020 8547 0144

Educare small school is a hidden gem in Kingston. It is a family of amazing teachers, children and parents. Teachers nurture every child's learning journey; older and younger children play together and look after each other; parents are best friends. My daughter (4 years old) summarises it well "I love school mummy" The kindergarten provides the perfect introduction to school with the right mix of play, learning, outdoor activities, arts and sports. Working parents can also get the 30h/15h free childcare in full. I do not know any other places that do that. It is the best decision we made!

My daughter has attended the Kindergarten preschool since she was 3 years old, originally starting 2 mornings a week and now almost full time. She has flourished here, the staff are amazing, the trips and activities organised (playball, forest school, music, trips to Kew Gardens, Bocketts Farm, theatre shows) are beyond my expectations, and the flexibility to add hours or days is brilliant. Plus the offer of the 15 and 30 childcare hours funding has been a real bonus.

Independent Schools

The Study School

57 Thetford Rd, New Malden KT3 5DP, UK – 020 8942 0754

This is a phenomenal school with fantastic leadership in place. I have two sons who attend the school - each with different skills. Not only does the school ensure each child has their needs meet, they challenge an nurture them. I am so grateful to the teaching staff and respect the Head Teacher immensely for her personal approach, her visibility and her enthusiasm. She has transformed the school and champions each child in the school as if he or she was her own. She knows each parent and provides a bespoke and tailored approach to every family. Her commitment to the school is to be commended and the outcome of beautiful, wonderfully talented children is a reflection of all that the school does. As a paediatrician who works full time, I feel so grateful to the school for teaching my children so well and managing to ensure I feel I am involved in all aspects of my child's education. I recommend the school over any other school in the area.

This is a good school. My daughter enjoyed it very much. She made a lot of friends and became more confident, more chatty. Mrs Sparrow and Mrs Twomey (Nursery) are very caring and professional.

Primary Schools

Kings Oak Primary School

6 Dickerage Ln, Kingston upon Thames, New Malden KT3 3RZ, UK – 020 8942 5154

What a fantastic school it turned it to be for my little boy who had to have many life changes before coming to this one. After attending quite a few schools, he got around to Kings Oak & boy did he settle down like he belonged. The staff is extremely dedicated & kind to kids & take their responsibilities seriously. The support staff is cognisant of the fact that kids come from different environments & hence support & nurturing is individual. Activities & and Emids are well balanced & I have barely noticed any bullying. Mr Sargent & Mrs Kwateng are highly conscientious teachers who take keen interest in progress of each kid & give them space & time to achieve little goals with every term. My boy has flourished here 😍😍😍😍😍😍

It's a great school. The front view doesn't do it justice - but don't judge a book by its cover! The staff are great and work so hard to give the kids the best education and opportunities. The new head is so committed to making the school even better. Loads of class trips and fun educational events inside the school too. My kids loved it!

"SINGING FOR THE BRAIN " was held here. Excellent !

Good venue, well equipped classrooms, nice cafe, helpful reception staff and even modern boards telling you which room your class is in, so a lot more sophisticated than the previous venues. Car park is very popular but there is bike parking if you fancy being green. Classes really depend on the individual teacher, I'd say - my experience of the French and Spanish conversation teachers has been excellent, especially the wonderful Monsieur Paul.
